CollegeSpring

CollegeSpring is a mission-driven nonprofit organization committed to enhancing college readiness for students of all backgrounds. With over 15 years of experience, CollegeSpring empowers students to excel in college and career readiness assessments, striving for equal opportunities. The organization envisions embedding its program within the education system, particularly in schools facing poverty challenges, to make a lasting impact on students’ educational prospects.

Key Challenges

CollegeSpring faced a significant branding challenge due to limited resources, as it sought to undertake a comprehensive brand overhaul. This transformation was not only essential to benefit their constituents, including parents, students, staff, and schools, but also aimed to create a professional and trustworthy brand that could attract corporate sponsors to support their nonprofit mission. The strategic positioning and communication of the brand, coupled with fresh, attention-grabbing visual systems and brand activations, needed to convey the organization’s values of professionalism, fun, and care, all while making an immediate and lasting impact in the education landscape.

Strategic Results

In response to CollegeSpring’s brand challenge, my proposal to utilize rights-free resources to create an accessible asset library, allowing non-designers to craft branded materials, received approval. Collaborative brand strategy sessions and systematic presentations played a crucial role in gaining support from diverse stakeholders within the organization. The success of the rebranded initiative was vividly demonstrated during their mission to broaden test prep access, notably highlighted at College Acceptance Night at Dodgers Stadium. CollegeSpring’s enthusiastic engagement in the project added depth and significance to the endeavor for everyone involved.
